As a Chartered Psychologist, Annette has followed a career where her passionate interest in people and their possibilities for growth and development have been applied to improving management practice and academic thinking. She has held senior management positions in the oil & gas, automotive, nuclear, construction and health services industries facilitating the management of change and transition.
She is well versed in the skills of facilitation, organisation and individual transformation, group presentations, training & development, coaching, team development and public speaking. In all her roles she has acted as a facilitator for positive change and has delivered successful major change programmes in all the industries in which she has worked. She is expert in bringing together disparate groups of people to work collaboratively to create common outcomes and generate mutual benefits.
Annette has an established reputation as a leading edge thinker gained through her role as Professor of Management Development at Robert Gordon University and from her wide ranging experience within the Scottish Enterprise Network.
During her time running her own business, Annette has made a name for herself as a deliverer of significant change and success for both individuals and businesses. She has successfully worked with a number of businesses undergoing mergers or acquisitions to facilitate the transition process and achieve exceptional organisation results in a much shorter time than usual. Annette has undertaken significant work to develop tools/processes that help SME's capture and exploit their intangible assets. She has recently started practising as a clinical hypnotherapist focused on health, wellbeing and achieving peak performance.
